The Studio is open 24 x 7 and we worked for about eight hours everyday. Journals that we had to give up is like a diary, where we write about our approach to art and our minds behind the statues that we make. A good part of a College of art is that you can spend so much time thinking about art. Everyone around You is an artist. All we talk about is art. So, there is a continual learning. What I am happy about is the semester system students are forced to complete the project within six months. If the system was replaced by the annual one semester, we could work on larger projects.

$ 10,000 reward was posted for information leading to the arrest of the man who attacked the officer parked downtown with bricks this week.

The officer, Asrat Mamo, were taken to a hospital Wednesday night in critical condition after he was found unconscious on the ground in the parking lot, at 13th and Locust streets.

Police still are investigating the motive for the attack, which they do not believe is robbery. Mamo still got cash and a cell phone on him when he was found, they said. Stan Mamo worked on does not have a cash register. Researchers believe Mamo probably know at least one of the people who were involved in the attack.

Police said Mamo, 30, sat outside his room shortly before 8 p.m. when several people approached him. Video surveillance captures a woman as she walked and talked with Mamo for seven minutes. A second woman was approached by a man, then the second left. Moments later, police said, the guy came back and hit the side of the head with Mamo bricks.
